GrowHealthy’s distribution center and largest store reside in Deerfield. Upon entering the dispensary, vertical wooden panels greet the customers. These panels serve the dual purpose of concealing the sales floor from pedestrians, allowing the store to comply with current state regulations. This space then transitions to the sales floor that features more of the warm wooden material.
GrowHealthy anticipates a future in which medical cannabis transitions to recreational status. The team at 2+ Architects let this knowledge inform their design of the space. As such, they chose to create a flexible space that could grow to suit the future needs of the company. Currently, the interior features additional lounge areas within the sales floor to facilitate casual interactions between customers and staff members. Here, staff members can pitch products or close a sale. In the future, the lounge areas could serve the dual purpose of supporting recreational retail functions.
